Early Morning Ruminations

I've been waking up at all kinds of odd times. So when I came downstairs this morning, I was pleased to see that it was a relatively late 5:23 am. Oh goody I thought, it is almost time to get up for real.

Of course the animals all wanted to eat and I couldn't argue with that as they get fed at 5 am on seal team days. So I fed them and looked for Friday's New York Times to read, but my adorable husband has taken it somewhere in the house that is not immediately visible to me, so I sat down here on the sofa with my computer and with one thing leading to another, I decided to make a blog post.

Hmm, what should I write about? Hey look it's snowing.

The wild cats want to go out but I told them they have to wait till the sun comes up.

Did you know I quit my job? Next Tuesday is my last day. One reason I haven't been blogging is because I have been in some sort of mental state over quitting my job and not having another one. I have never not worked as a married person. Becoming a drain on society and a burden for my husband has been quite emotional for me, and for a while it reduced me to a jibbering idiot with no writing ability but as you see, I am now over that.

One of the things I plan to do during my idleness is to change over to a different blogger. Maybe Wordpress. The holdup with that is that I haven't been able to think of a new name. I feel that with such radical change going on in my life I need a fresh start blogwise. I will leave a cross reference (that's library talk) here at the Empty Nest so you can find me at the new location, if I actually do change.

Have fun in the snow today. It has a way to go if it is to reach the hysterical predictions we had to listen to all week. I hope you have enough bread and milk.
